Marvan for Aussie tour

The National Selection Committee headed by Ashantha de Mel yesterday decided to include former captain Marvan Atapattu in the Sri Lanka team for the tour of Australia next month.

This was following the request made by the Minister of Sports and Recreation Gamini Lokuge who also met the national selection committee earlier on the selection of the team for the tour of Australia.

Sri Lanka will play two Test matches in Brisbane and Hobart and two three day warm up matches during their tour down under from November 2 to 20. The team will leave for Australia on Tuesday.
