Scullers for Asian Junior C’ships in Korea

Leaving for Korea today to take part in the Asian Junior Rowing
Championship, will be three Scullers under 18 years in Guyan Jayaratne,
Dumindu Mudalige and Menuka Dissanayake.
They will be accompanied by coach cum Manager Lakmal Wickremage.
The preliminary races will be held from the October 16 to conclude
with the finals on the 19, in Chunju Korea.
Single Sculler, Jayaratne, has had experience competing abroad and
was placed 6th, in the Junior sculls in Singapore last year - whilst
Mudalige and Dissanayake are competing away from home for the first
time.
Jayaratne will take part in the single sculls event, while Mudalige
and Dissanayake will compete in the double sculls.
There will be around 200 participants in this Junior Asian Rowing
championship drawn from China, Japan, Korea, Kazakhastan, India,
Pakistan, Indonesia, Hongkong and Thailand.
