KANAGARATNAM - ARIARANEE (ARIA) - With profound sorrow we
announce her passing away on 8 Oct. 2007 while on holiday in Toronto, Canada. A
retired teacher of Colombo Ladies College. She was the devoted and selfless wife
of the late Rev. Dr. Donald Kanagaratnam (former Principal - Theological
College, Pilimatalawa and Archdeacon of Jaffna). She was a wonderful mother to
foster son, Kumar of Melbourne. Aria is survived by her sister Selvaranee and
predeceased by Dan, Chinraj, Thangaranee, Pushparanee and Ben. She will be
remembered for the tower of strength she was to Donald, and for their bold and
meaningful contributions to the lives of those they served. The funeral service
will be held at 10.00 a.m. on Thursday, 11 October 2007, at the Highland Funeral
Home, Scarborough Canada and a private cremation thereafter. A Service of
Remembrance will be held at 6.30 p.m. on Friday 12 October 2007, at St.
