The 17 young delegates will head to the former French colony for an
intense training session under the renowned advertising guru Ram Sehgal.
As one of the icons of the communication industry, Sehgal boasts an

He has formulated a demanding workshop, where the group from LBSI
will be put through a gruelling two and half days of preparatory work,
presentations and lectures that have been specially designed to exercise
the mind and encourage deeper thoughts and insights.
This trip to the Indian city is the latest in a series of workshops
organised by LBSI, a company that has continually demonstrated their
determination to enhancing the knowledge of all the members of the
Burnett family.
Various sessions have been organised over years, aimed at beginners,
mid-level professionals, and management through a number of intensive
and inclusive training programmes.
These have featured a host of well recognised local and international
speakers, including Ram Sehgal, Russel Miranda, Dileepa Abeysekera, Ravi
Bamunusighe, Trevor Kennedy and LBSI Managing Director Ranil de Silva.
Speaking on this training initiative, advertising veteran de Silva
has revealed that the modules set out in the Leo Fundamentals programme
encompass a wide variety of topics that will lay a solid foundation for
the participants.
He added, “Most of those who have signed up for Leo Fundamentals are
relative newcomers to this business, and we at Burnett are very
conscious of how important it is for them to build up a strong insight
into our industry, and more so, that they learn this from the leaders in
the field.”
Leo Fundamentals is comprised of four separate modules, encompassing
the Creative, Strategy, General Skills and Integrated disciplines.
It takes an in-depth look into each of the elements involved in these
various disciplines, including Crafting, Brief Writing, Market Research,
Leadership and Event Management. Here, participants from a cross-section
of departments are given an insight into the many avenues of the realm
of advertising. |
