Guyan Jayaratne the winner

In our issue of Monday, September 24 on the results of the Rowing Nationals, it was inadvertently reported that the winner of the Men's Open sculls event was, Udesh Hettiarachchi, Whereas the winner was Guyan Jayaratne.

This incorrect information was provided to us by the Assistant Secretary of the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka. As a promising Sculler the 18 year old, Guyan, participated in the Junior Championship last July in Singapore and followed it up by representing Sri Lanka at the Asian Games in, Doha.

He is currently in the training pool, for the Asian Championship at Seoul in October this year.

The error is regretted.
