GONAWALA: Two sisters U.L.D. Purvi Nihansa, 10, and U.L.D. Nilushika, 05 of 190/2, Pattiwila, Gonawala, Kelaniya are suffering from profound hearing loss. Doctors have recommended a cochlear implant to restore their hearing impediment and speak after rehabilitation. According to ENT Surgeon Dr. T.R.C. Ruberu each surgery will cost Rs. 2,650,000.

Their father Niranjan Liyanage says he is unable to find funds to pay this bill due to financial constraints and seeks public assistance to help expedite the surgery.
