Galagedera Madya Maha Vidyalaya gets new building

COLOMBO: Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama opened a new three story building at the Galagedara Madya Maha Vidyalaya recently.

The estimated value of the building is Rs. 20 million and it was undertaken by the Education Ministry on the request of Dr. Amunugama. The school was established in 1823.

The new three story building has considerably modernised the school and improved facilities available to the students.

Until the completion of the new building the advance level students were housed in the hall, as there was a shortage of classrooms. This problem has now been resolved.

The school has produced the best ordinary and advanced level results in the Katugastota Eductional Zone.
