Handicrafts exhibition

A handicrafts exhibition and fair will be held at Ratnapura from September 24 to 28 to provide handicraft artistes in Sabaragamuwa Province with a market for their products in their locality by creating a meeting place for the producer and consumer.

The exhibition and fair which conducts with the annual pageant of the Ratnapura Maha Saman Devalaya will provide stall facilities to a group of 50 handicraft artistes registered with the National Crafts Council (NCC) and the Industrial Development Board.

Similar to the exhibitions and fairs held in Galle, Kuliyapitiya and Colombo the Ratnapura fair and exhibition would showcase a wide array of products including gift and fanny items, batiks, embroidery, lace, indigenous textiles and garments, home needs as well as food items at reasonable prices.

The exhibition and fair will be held opposite the Ratnapura Town Hall premises.
