He also said SMB has shown a substantial growth in Sri Lanka and globally. “It is the right time to focus on this sector. The global programme that we carried out for SMBs were suitable for Sri Lanka. Cisco provides voice, security and wireless solutions which the SMB did not have earlier.

Cisco launched the Select Certification recently in Colombo to grow SMB leadership position in the SMB market.

“Cisco SMB Class solutions provide proven technology solutions and comprehensive services to help SMBs build secure, reliable and flexible networks that can scale as their companies grow. The Select Certification program helps to fulfill the delivery of the program by helping Cisco partners implement SMB Class solution offerings,” Malik added.

He added that the certification, will create a pool of Select Certified partners equipped to respond to the heightened demands of SMB customer’s including knowledgeable networking professionals capable of successful counsel, design and deployment of Cisco SMB solutions.

“The SMB market is one of the fastest growing segments for Cisco in Sri Lanka. With the launch of Cisco Select Certification program in Sri Lanka, it will help us to differentiate, recognise and reward Cisco channel partners that have a focused business practice selling into the SMB Market,” Country Manager, Cisco, Sri Lanka Natarajan Rajkumar said.

He added that the select certification is currently available to all Cisco registered partners. “The participants were extremely excited. They were keen to take the solutions we offer to the customers. Our work is not restricted to Colombo but is spread islandwide,” he said.
