Amana tie up with Interact District 3220
Amana Takaful Insurance (ATI), based on the world’s most giving
concept of insurance has teamed up with the Interact District 3220 as
the movement’s official community service strategic partner for the year
2007/2008.
This was announced at a special press conference held recently at the
Rotary Centre Auditorium amidst a gathering of Rotarians, Interactors
and Media personnel.
At the press conference ATI’s Assistant. Marketing Manager Aashiq
Aminuddin mentioned that “We are giving to those who will give in the
future. Based on that the main reasons in tying up with interact are two
fold.
One is that we want to foster and nurture the youth to become
inspirational and efficient leaders and second is we want to carry out
worthwhile projects that will benefit society so that they can have a
better living.”
Aminuddin also explained “The Interact movement is the perfect
channel to serve the community, because they do it with sheer sincerity.
They are full of enthusiasm and always enjoy what they do.
Amana on the other hand is known as the most giving concept of
insurance and we are extending this concept of giving towards the
society.”
This unique partnership will carry out many projects on social
responsibility, and other aspects of community service within a span of
one year, with 4 main projects taking the lime-light.
Interact Districts 3220, DIR Int. Zahrah Cader mentioned that “The
Interact District 3220 plans to organize four main community projects
for the year(2007/2008).We will allocate funds to help and support the
Sri Lanka Army.
The Interact District also wishes to continue its “Greenlife” a
project to ensure the protection of the environment.”
Rotary International District Governor Rtn.Thariq Thulba, who spoke
on this partnership citing that “It is indeed significant to note of the
partnership between the Interact District of Rotary International
District 3220 Sri Lanka and Amana Takaful Insurance and I also
congratulate Interact on their initiatives towards their community
service projects to better peoples lives.”
Rotarian Thulba also added that “I also sincerely appreciate the
commitment on the part of Amana Takaful Insurance in supporting the
venture, which besides highlighting their focus on the area of corporate
social responsibility, also confirms their belief in encouraging our
youth in its active participation in service.”
The Interact Movement is one of the country’s largest student bodies
with a membership of more than 1000 that cater into diverse community
service projects.
The Interact District is made up of many Interact Clubs from various
schools, across the island, with even clubs far off from Trincomalee and
Batticoloa. |
