Mihin Air, Sri Lanka’s low cost airline will be launching direct
flights to Singapore from September 24 increasing their destinations to
six. The frequency would be thrice a week.
The airline is already flying to Dubai, Male, Trivandrum, Trichy and
Bangkok.
An official from the airline said they would be once again offering
the lowest air fare, which would be around 35 per cent less than the
usual fares. The aim of the Government to float the airline was mainly
to cater to the migrant workers who are presently forced to spend
heavily for their passage.
“The Government wants to offer them a better deal and save money for
them.
“Singapore is offering a visa on arrival policy. It is expected that
more Sri Lankans would travel to the country.
“In addition the enhanced cargo allowa- nce too would be another
attraction for the airline, an official said.” |
