Tokyo cement continues 'CSR' activities

"Structural Concrete for Superior Performance" was the theme of a full day seminar organized by the Society of Structural Engineers Sri Lanka (SSESL) in collaboration with the Tokyo Cement Group.

This hugely successful event that attracted more than 250 professionals from all branches of the construction industry in Sri Lanka was sponsored by Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) Ltd [TCCL].

"It is our intention to continuously upgrade the construction industry and as a key player, we feel it is our duty to play an integral role in this process", said Joint Managing Director, TCCL, S.R. Gnanam .

"By sponsoring this event, we hope that we have been able to increase the knowledge and further educate structural engineers on the optimum use of concrete, including high performance concrete, tropical weather concreting, and the cracking of concrete, he said."
