Dialog Telekom, Sri Lanka's foremost telecommunications provider recently launched a special package designed especially for the Senior Citizen market. This package marks a significant milestone in reaching out to this traditionally excluded segment and is a positive step in gearing for the future, where world population estimates indicate a rise in the percentage of the aged within the next decade.

"With the introduction of this unique package we are in fact filling a void that has been overlooked for many years," said General Manager Sales and Marketing, Dialog Telekom Nushad Perera. "Even though they represent a large and important segment of our society, the Senior Citizens demographic has been neglected where technology and communication are concerned.

Together with the best possible service, our goal is to provide them with a communication solution that is especially designed to suit their needs, which in turn will help our seniors to adopt and utilize technology to better their lives."

The Senior Citizen Package has both Pre and Post-paid options, includes many benefits such as special rates and Value Added Services like SMS, GPRS, IDD and CLI; and is available at any Dialog Service Centres and Arcades.

Another advantage of this unique package is the Senior Citizen Privilege Card which entitles subscribers to benefits such as discounts and special offers from Dialog Telekom business partners including hospitals, supermarkets, opticians, clothing and footwear stores, pharmacies, as well as Travel and Insurance agents.

Dialog Telekom's Corporate Responsibility practice focuses on reaching out to all segments of society regardless of demographic disparity, to enrich the nation through inclusion.
