Profit taking high in share market
The Colombo Bou- rse was volatile due to the slight profit taking in
certain listed companies yesterday. Both indexes went up positively, its
sources said.
The All Share Price Index went up by 4.7 points and the Milanka Price
Index went up by 9.9 points by recording the equity turnover over Rs.
272 million. The number of shares traded in volumes were 10 million,
stock market sources said.
Volume wise the companies that contributed to the turn over were CIC
traded one million and per share value was Rs. 43.50, Lanka Mill Food (LMF)
traded 0.74 million shares traded at Rs. 46.75 for a shares and Malwatha
0.68 million traded at Rs. 20.50 a share.
The companies that contributed in turnover-wise were CIC (Rs. 46.3
million LMF (Rs. 34.5 million) and SLT (Rs. 22.5 million).
