Susie to receive cash award

ATHLETICS: Sri Lanka’s sprint queen Susanthika Jayasisnghe will receive a cash award of Rs. 500,000 from the Athletic Association for her effort at the recent World Athletic Championships in Osaka, Japan.

This is in addition to the cash award of Rs. one million which she will receive through the Ministry of Sports.

CONGRATS: Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake has send a special congratulatory message to Susanthika Jayasinghe on winning a bronze medal at the recent World Athletic Championships in Osaka Japan.

In his message the Prime Minister added that Susanthika Jayasinghe has brought great honour and fame to the motherland and that she has being a role model to the entire nation.
