Priority to develop volleyball in Asia

VOLLEYBALL: The Asian Volleyball Confederation Delegates meeting concluded with all agreeing to give priority to develop volleyball and beach volleyball in the Asian Region.

This decision was taken after viewing the reports submitted by the five zonal Vice Presidents, and Technical Committees.

Their proposals too were discussed seriously before arriving at this decision.

The AVC was highly satisfied with development progress made during the last two years in Asia.

They noted that the mostly developed areas are the youth and the junior sections. But the Delegates admitted that when compared to American and European standards that this region has failed to reach that level.

At present there is a big difference here. They were also of the view that Beach Volleyball has improved heavily with many countries taking to the sport.
