Allocation of EPF under Neganahira Navodaya to be regulated

COLOMBO: The Labour Relations and Manpower Ministry has taken measures to regulate the allocation of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) under the Neganahira Navodaya (Eastern Resurgence) Programme.

After regulating the EPF under the Neganahira Navodaya programme, beneficiaries in Batticaloa and Trincomalee districts will be able to collect their EPF refunds without any difficulties since they need not come to Colombo.

Parallel to the Neganahira Navodaya regulating programme the ceremony marking the decentralisation of the EPF will be held at the Badulla District Deputy Labour Commissioner’s Office in Haputale on September 25.

The EPF completes 50 years in 2008. The Labour Relations and Man Power Ministry has organised a large number of programmes parallel to the 50th anniversary celebrations.
