Mega Containers celebrates 10th anniversary
Mega Containers, an associate of ABC Group of Companies celebrated
their 10th anniversary recently at their premises at Welisara.
The chief guest was the Chairman of Mega, T.M.D. William. This

and leadership of John Shiran Dissanayake who is the Deputy Chairman and also Chairman of the
ABC Group of Companies. Today ABC Group has diversified into sectors
such as international transportation, finance, insurance, credit cards,
plantations, trading and Takaful investments.
Mega is considered as one of the top inland container depots and
specialises in container storing, repairing, handling and also
conversion of standards containers into Garment on Hangers (GOH).
During the past 10 years Mega has won several prestigious awards
which included National Productivity Award 2005, National Productivity
Award 2005- Western Province, National Business Excellence Award 2004
and won the Certificate of Commendation in National Productivity Award
held by the Labour Ministry and National Productivity Secretariat in the
Year 2003.
The company has also received the ISO 9001:2000 certificate and is
being Certified for ISO9001-2000 from SGS Lanka in the year 2005.
The 10th Anniversary celebrations culminated with presentation of
service awards and recognising employees for their productivity
improvements and eco friendly / safety systems introduced to the company
