Sri Lanka hope to give a better display against Canada

NETBALL: Sri Lanka will be hoping to put up an improved performance
when they confront Canada in their second match of the Asian netball
tournament at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall in Singapore today.
Sri Lanka suffered a crushing 28-70 defeat at the hands of Trinidad
and Tobago in their opening fixture but are determined to bounce back
with a better performance. Trinidad and Tobago are placed tenth in the
World Rankings while Sri Lanka are placed 18th in the World Rankings.
Sri Lanka are expected to make a couple of changes for today’s game
and should be able to stretch the strong Canadian team who are placed
21st in the World Rankings.
Sri Lanka will be banking heavily on their star player Tharjani
Sivalingam and Shashika Samarasinghe who did the bulk of the scoring in
their previous outing. Sri Lanka’s third and final match of the
tournament will be against the hosts Singapore on Friday.
