Gas price hike
COLOMBO: Shell Gas Lanka Ltd has increased the price of a 12.5 Kg LPG
cylinder to Rs. 1,298 and the 2.3 Kg LPG cylinder to Rs. 239 from today.
For outstation locations, prices will be adjusted for transport and
associated costs.

L.K.H. Ajith needs help
KELANIYA: L.K.H. Ajith, father of three, 80/22 D, Batalandawatta,
Makola South is suffering from an acute heart ailment. Consultant
Cardiologist, Sri Jayewardenapura Hospital Dr. Gotabhaya Ranasinghe has
recommended a coronary angioplasty (PTCA) and stenting at the Sri
Jayewardenapura Hospital costing Rs. 610,000.
Ajith says he is unable to foot this bill due to his present
financial plight. He requests philanthropists and the public to assist
his cause by sending whatever financial contributions possible to help
expedite the procedure.
