Former Minister Harold Herat dead

COLOMBO: Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Deshabandu Harold Herat passed away yesterday after a brief illness.

Herat held many portfolios in UNP Governments. He was in the Executive Committee of the UNP at the time of his death.

He leaves his wife Gwen and three children. The funeral will take place at Marawila on Sunday, September 2 at 3 p.m.
