Elephant House rewards three-wheeler ice cream salesmen
K. Vigneshwaran of Colo- mbo recently emerged 'National Best
Salesman' for the last quarter of the 2006/07 Financial Year at the much
awaited Elephant House awards for Three Wheeler Ice Cream Salesmen.
Awards were also given on a provincial basis to 24 salesmen who achieved
the highest percentages on the given target.

wheeler sales force which took
the range of Elephant House ice creams direct to the consumer.
"The effectiveness of our three wheeler sales force has grown very
rapidly since its launch in February 2002. Synonymous with the goodness
of our range of ice creams, these branded vehicles are now a familiar
sight all over Sri Lanka, especially in far off, remote villages".
The awards scheme was designed to reward salesmen island wide, and,
would be a bi-annual feature in the Ceylon Cold Stores calendar.
"The success of our ice creams has been that while meeting the
highest international standards, we have effectively tapped into the
local taste and flavour preferences, thus clearly differentiating us
from our competitors", he said.
Innovations in the growing Elephant House range of ice creams include
Wonder Bites, Jumbo Jolly, Manga Batta, Divul Batta, Wonder Bar, Pani
Cadju, the Wonder Cone and a range of cups.
