Sivaji: Non-stop entertainer in town

CINEMA: The film fiesta for this year has begun with the release of Sivaji. Rajini has come back with a customized film of his style to delight his die-hard fans. A story is written first and then the actors are chosen but in this film the story has been written for Rajini. The Super star has utilized this opportunity and given an unforgettable treat to his fans.

The plot revolves around eradicating black money. Having Rajini in the film has given the strength to the director Shanker to innovate limitless ideas throughout the film.

The film is a non-stop entertainer but lacks originality in the story and screenplay.

The movie is very predictable and moves with the usual twists and turns. There are visible loopholes in the story which have been patched with glamour and grandeur. The 59 year old hero has been made youthful with suitable costumes, stunt and choreography.

Witty sense

Hilarious Vivek again has proven himself with his witty sense of humour. Vivek has delivered the “punch dialogues” for which Rajini used to be famous. His presence in the first half of the film has added equal weight and together with Rajini he cheers the crowd.

Another expected aspect of the film is the female lead in the film. Shreya plays opposite Rajini. She looks gorgeous and can dance well too.

She has shown her best in acting but needs more experience to render more intricate emotions. Music has the power to decide the fate of any Indian film and it is the backbone of any Indian film.

Rahman’s compositions

The music maestro A. R. Rahman scores again in the music. Usually one has to listen twice or thrice to get the taste of Rhaman’s compositions and the songs in Sivaji are not an exception to this.

The melodious ‘Sahana’ and the fast beat ‘athiradi’ are breath taking.

Another highlighting aspect which everybody speaks about is the settings used for the songs. Together with technology and creativity, Shanker has brought an unimaginable setting to the film. One major aspect that strikes out through out in the film is the use of technology in every minute details in the songs.

Sivaji is a fiesta for Rajini’s fans this summer.
