COLOMBO: The Cabinet approved permanent appointments to 380
voluntary teachers in the Jaffna district, Social Services and Social
Welfare Minister Douglas Devananda said.
He said these voluntary teachers serve in different parts in the
Jaffna district under difficult circumstances. They requested
permanency. Responding to their request, Cabinet approval had been
granted to confirm them in their posts.
Voluntary teachers who had completed three years of service by
December 31, 2005 would be eligible for permanent teaching appointments.
They will be called for interviews soon. |
