SLT gets 'B+' rating

STANDARD & POOR'S Ratings Services has revised its outlook on the ratings of Sri Lanka Telecom Ltd to stable from negative and affirmed the 'B+' foreign currency and 'BB-' local currency corporate credit ratings.

The rating on Sri Lanka Telecom continues to reflect the long-term rating on the sovereign given its Government ownership and its exposure to domestic revenues and regulated sector, S&P said.

The ratings agency said the outlook is in line with that on the 'B+/B' foreign currency and 'BB-/B' local currency sovereign credit ratings on Sri Lanka.

The outlook on the sovereign rating was revised to stable from negative and the ratings were affirmed, the ratings agency added.
