Rahuman handed two year suspension

SUSPENDED: Saunders SC’s M.F.F. Rahuman has been suspended for two years by the Disciplinary Committee of Football Federation with effect from July 1 with this suspension he will be barred from playing and holding any managerial position.

Rahuman who punched the referee during the Holcim FA Cup on July 1 was sent off the field by the referee in attendance. Later the referee submitted his report. In response to this the disciplinary committee immediately suspended him until an inquiry is held. After calling for explantation from Rahuman and an inquiry was conducted last Friday.

The committee hearing both parties Rahuman was found guilty and the suspension was imposed on him.

the committee found Rahuman guilty of bad behaviour on the field bringing disrepute to the sport and also failing to maintain the reputation of the most prestigious FA Cup final.
