Shot dead by motorcycle duo

AMBALANGODA: Nilantha alias Thalaya of Uruwatte Ambalangoda was shot dead at Uruwatte in the Ambalangoda police division.

According to police two unknown persons had come on a motorcycle and shot him when he was at home. No arrests have been made.

The Magisterial Inquiry was held by acting Magistrate Balapitiya M. Liyakath. Dr. S. Siriwardena AJMO Base Hospital, Balapitiya who held the post mortem reported that gun shot injuries caused the death. The Ambalangoda police are investigating.
