ICT Exhibition in Kandy from July 27
ICT: For the first time in the history of the Central Province
the computer vendors will be conducting an ICT exhibition on July 27, 28
and 29 at Suisse Hotel Kandy.
The membership of the Association comprise a wide cross section
ranging from of vendors, re-sellers, the education sector to software
developers operating in the province.
The Kandy Municipal Council too would assist in the event. Government
Departments and Institutions, private and public sector organisations,
university students, school students, parents and teachers, too would
attend this.
“It is observed that the commerce and industrial sectors in the
Central Province has starved for want of information on the latest
innovations, developments and information in the field of ICT, and this
exhibition’s goal is to reverse this deficiency and to lead the way to
make Kandy an IT hub of the future,” an official from organisers said.
“ICT Kandy 2007” brings together products and service providers
showcasing the latest breakthroughs in information and communication
technology. We hope to invite both National and International ICT
companies to participate in this event and expect at least 70 companies
will take part.
The visitors will discover cutting-edge development in both hardware
and software applications to help them think outside the box and thus
expand their business.
The event will also include a program of seminars and lectures
throughout the exhibition featuring the latest ICT products and
innovations. These seminars are targeted at university students, schools
students, entrepreneurs, professionals and employees who are working in
the ICT field.
“We strongly believe that by organising such ICT exhibitions in Kandy,
the Public will definitely appreciate the effort and hence would like to
propose that you be a promote of the event,” the official said.
“Many of our members have visited such exhibitions around the world
and have gained knowledge and experience in replicating same within the
confidence of our city taking into consideration both strengths and
limitations in a fitting manner,” he said. |
