Lankan juniors for Malaysia

BADMINTON: An eight member Sri Lanka junior badminton team (four boys and four girls) will take part in the Asia Confederation Badminton Championships which will be worked off in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia from July 15 to 22, 2007.

The team comprises: Boys- Udara Nayanajith (Royal College), Nuwan Hettiarachchi (Ananda College), R.S. Kasun (St. John’s College, Nugegoda), R.S. Dahanayake (Dharmaraja College).

Girls- Achini Rathnasiri (Lindsay Girls’ School), Subodha Dahanayake (Musaeus College), Gayani Perera (Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda), Upuli Samanthika (Lindsay Girls’ School).

They will be accommodated by three officials- Ananda Wijetunga (Manager), A.B. Gangoda (Assistant Manager) and Geethani Wijekoon (Lady Chaperon)
