Over to you chairman CEB
I am compelled to address this letter to you as the interruptions to
the supply of power in the Thimbirigasyaya area are getting too
frequent.
June 22 was a ‘Black Day’ in our area and the worst so far, and
incidentally I have been living in this locality for 35 years. In the
afternoon on this fateful day there was a breakdown at around 2.30 p.m.
and power was restored only at 6.00 p.m.
Following this there were three breakdowns and finally power was
restored at 11.30 p.m. Our joy was shortlived as at 2.35 a.m. on the
23rd a breakdown occurred once again plunging us into darkness for four
hours disturbing our much needed slumber.
I called your breakdown service around 10 a.m. on the 23rd and was
informed that they have still not located the problem and it could
happen again.
This is the area of concern which I wish to highlight and impress
upon, that your technical staff is not competent enough to locate a
problem within this long period. In my experience, this is never the
case in the past and warrants your immediate attention. I am sure this
situation is prevalent in other areas as well.
