Air Force destroys LTTE targets in Thoppigala

THOPPIGALA: Air Force Kfir jets pounded two LTTE installations
yesterday morning in Thoppigala to assist ground troops liberating
Thoppigala.
The Air Force also destroyed an LTTE camp in the East of Mannar.
The fighter jets targeted an LTTE camp in Palampiddi, East of Mannar.
The first air raid was conducted yesterday around 6.15 a.m. targeting an
LTTE camp in the East of Mannar, Air Force Spokesman Group Captain
Ajantha Silva said. “The target was completely destroyed,” he added.
The Kfir jets pounded the two LTTE positions in Thoppigala as
advancing Security Forces engaged in a humanitarian mission to liberate
the remaining areas Thoppigala from the LTTE clutches.
“The jets attacked two LTTE targets in the West of Thoppigala
yesterday at around 6.20 a.m. The air strikes were in support of
infantry troops engaged in humanitarian mission in the Thoppigala area,”
Group Captain Silva said.
