Bogollagama leaves for Japan and Nepal
COLOMBO: Minister of Foreign Affairs Rohitha Bogollagama leaves for
Japan and Nepal on an official visit on Sunday. During the four day
visit to Japan, the Minister is expected to meet the Prime Minister of
Japan and several Cabinet Ministers. He will have bilateral discussions
with his counterpart in Japan Taro Aso.
During his stay in Japan the Foreign Minister will address the Sri
Lanka Business Forum organised by the Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan and the
Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan.
The Minister will deliver a lecture at the Japan Institute of
International Affairs and meet the network of Japanese NGOs working on
Reconstruction and Development of Sri Lanka.
Bogollagama will be interviewed by the Japanese National TV and the
Yomiuri Shimbun, daily newspaper and is expected to hold a press
conference attended by the local and foreign Media in Japan.
In Nepal, Minister Bogollagama will have bilateral discussions with
the Foreign Minister of Nepal Sahana Pradhan will meet the Prime
Minister, several political leaders and the business community in Nepal.
He is also expected to visit Lumbini and inspect construction work of
the pilgrims rest. During the visits the Minister will be accompanied by
the
Sri Lankan ambassadors of the respective countries and senior
officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
