July festival at Madhu Shrine

COLOMBO: The annual July Festival at the Shrine of Our Lady of Madhu will be celebrated on July 2.

The hoisting of the flag will be on June 23. Owing to the closure of Madhu Road Entry Point, all pilgrims are advised to use the Uylankulam Entry Point and travel to Madhu via Parappukadanthan route, Bishop of Manner Rt Rev. Dr. Rayappu Joseph said in a release.

Those travelling in vehicles through this point are advised to carry with them four copies of the original documents of their vehicle and the list of the names of passengers with their NIC number. The August 15 festival will be celebrated as in the past.
