Enhanced services in Colombo Port

EXTENSION: Being mindful of various factors causing delays for the import container trucks timely entry to Port of Colombo to pick up laden boxes, the Sri Lanka Ports Authority run JCT terminal allows truck entry to its terminal till the following day 06.00 a.m. with gate passes valid till 12 midnight of a day.

This has been in practice for sometime from the period it experienced container Truck Port Entry delays.

“The Trade requests us to seek with SAGT the allowing of the same practice at the very earliest,” an official said.
