Dialog and Brastel facilitate Japan-Sri Lanka prepaid reload



Sri Lanka Festival in Tokyo: Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Japan Ranjith Uyangoda and CEO, Brastel Telecom, Wilson Kendi Kawai at the Brastel stall at the Sri Lanka Festival in Tokyo, Japan, where the first Brastel to Kit reload took place. Nicola Nakashima and Senani Karunadasa of Brastel Telecom were also present.

AGREEMENT: Dialog Telekom has entered into an agreement with Brastel Telecom of Japan making Brastel, the calling card provider of choice for the Sri Lankan community in Japan. The agreement will facilitate Dialog Pre Paid (Kit) accounts to be recharged by Sri Lankan Brastel users in Japan, using the Brastel International Recharge System (IRS) solution via IVR, website or a Customer Service Centre.

The service was inaugurated by the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Japan His Excellency Ranjith Uyangoda in the presence of Wilson Kendi Kawai CEO, Brastel Telecom at the Sri Lankan Festival held in Tokyo, Japan.

"Brastel has a deep appreciation for its Sri Lankan customers and is proud to partner with Dialog Telekom to offer the International Recharge System, building a new telecommunications bridge between Sri Lanka and Japan", said Wilson Kendi Kawai CEO, Brastel Telecom.

Chief Executive, Dialog Telekom Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya commenting on the company's latest partnership, said "We are proud to partner with Brastel in the country's first International Recharge System implementation.

The IRS implementation between Japan and Sri Lanka embodies a key paradigm which drives technology application at Dialog the deployment of modern technology to deliver consumer convenience. I am grateful to Brastel for working with us to deliver a unique service proposition to our respective customers."

Senior Manager, Distribution for Dialog pre-paid cards Pradeep Keerthiratne said, "We identified a significant need among our Kit subscriber base for easy and affordable communication with family and friends in Japan.

This partnership with Brastel is the perfect way to meet that need. We anticipate that this service will be a great success and intend to expand it to other countries in the future" Sri Lanka is the latest addition to the Brastel IRS solution, which is already deployed in the Philippines, Brazil and Indonesia.
