Hilton tennis gala from June 25

TENNIS: The fifth annual open tennis gala organised by the Hilton Colombo Residence will be held from June 25 to July 01 with the collaboration of Standard Chartered Bank.

The matches will be played at the HCR court and the Sri Lanka Tennis Association hard courts depending on the number of entries.

This championship will be an outstanding opportunity for the amateurs to clash with the professionals.

The organizers hope to have only 32 entries for each event and the minnimum for same will be eight.

The whole event will get under way as a fun event. The winners and runners up in the open events will receive cash awards along with trophies and certificates. Winners in the age groups will receive trophies and certificates.

The entries will be accepted only at the HCR Sports Centre and will close at 6.30 p.m. on June 20. The seedings will be displayed by 6.00 p.m. on the following day.

Prize giving ceremony will be held on 1st of July.

The events to be worked out are, men’s and women’s open singles and doubles, Boys and girls u-14, u-16 singles and doubles, Boys and girls u-12 singles.
