Bomb explodes killing three LTTEers

VAVUNIYA: Three LTTE suspects were killed when a bomb exploded at one of the victims’ houses in Poonthottam, Vavuniya on Monday night, police said.

According to Vavuniya police three LTTE suspects were killed when a bomb exploded in their possession in Poonthottam on Monday at around 7.00 p.m.

“The bomb went off close to a well and we found a victim inside the well and the two others near the well”, police said.

The incident occurred at the backyard of one of the victims’ houses and the house also slightly damaged, sources added.

The Vavuniya police is conducting the investigation.
