COLOMBO: Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health Jamaica and
the President of the Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association (CPA) Dr.
Grace Allen Young is now in Sri Lanka.
He arrived in the country on May 23. Dr. Allen who is based in the
United Kingdom will be the chief guest of the Annual Sessions of the
Pharmaceutical Society of Sri Lanka (PSSL) to be held on May 27,
Prof.Tuley De Silva, President, PSSL, said.
He said Dr. Allen will be accompanied by Secretary of the CPA John
Bell, Carolyn Bell and Betty Falconbridge to jointly organise and
participate in a participatory workshop on Pharmacists’ role in the
prevention and management of HIV/AIDS and TB.
This workshop has jointly been sponsored by the Commonwealth
Foundation, U.K and the National Science Foundation in Sri Lanka.
The delegation will share their expertise and experience with their
Sri Lankan counterparts and make courtesy calls on local health
officials. |
