New IT building for Sabaragamuwa University

COLOMBO: The Ministry of Higher Education is allocating Rs. 121 million for the constructing of a state-of-the-art building at the Sabaragamuwa University premises.

The proposed building will facilitate students following Information Technology Courses at the University.

According to university sources, the non-availability of adequate space for the smooth functioning of these courses, would potentially create student unrest in the university.

Under the instruction of Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Wiswa Warnapala, the construction process will be handed over to the Central Engineering Consultation Bureau.
