Indian security personnel and bystanders carry an injured man from the offices of the Dinakaran Newspaper in Madurai, some 350kms south of Chennai, May 09, after an attack on the building by political activists. Three newspaper employees died after the mob armed with stones and petrol bombs, responding to an unfavourable survey in the paper of local politician M.K. Azhagiri, attacked the office of the Tamil-language daily. Two engineers and a security guard died of suffocation, unable to escape because protesters had locked the building, district collector S.S Jawahar told reporters. AFP
