Kalmunai urban development office will not be shifted

KALMUNAI: Urban Development Authority Director and National Housing Development Authority Chairman Mohammed Rafeek said the Urban Development office in Kalmunai will not be shifted to Ampara.

The office was set up on a request by the people of Kalmunai, sources told the Daily News.

The office was earlier operating at the Kalmunai Municipal Council and as space was insufficient it was moved to a private building.

The office approves construction work within the Kalmunai Municipal Council area and carries out the work of recovering loans and similar activities.
