Three tennis players for Delhi

TENNIS: Three players from Sri Lanka left the island on Sunday to take part in the Under 14 World Junior Tennis championship Asia/ Oceania qualifying events (girls) which commenced yesterday in Delhi, India and will be continued till April 30. A total of seventeen countries will be participating at this event.

The contingent comprises Sherene Wijesinghe (Bishop’s College) who is the number one ranking player in girls under 14 category in Sri Lanka and the 8th in Asian ranking. She was the only Sri Lankan player represented the ITF in Jakartha.

Other players are Ajini Gunawardane (Musaeus College), Nadine Jayaratne (Colombo International School) and Mahesha Seneviratne (Coach).
