Standing majestically on "Fruit Hill", on Nuwara Eliya Road in close
proximity to the Hatton town, Hill Side Inn is the latest star in
Hatton. It has been built on a lush tea plantation.
The hotel surrounded by beautiful waterfalls, offers a picturesque

It has two restaurants, including a roof top restaurant which gives
guests a marvellous view of the mountains and tea estates which surround
the hotel.
The restaurants offer the very best in Western, Eastern, Chinese and
Spicy Sri Lankan cuisine prepared by Executive Chef, M. J. R. Selvaraj
who counts over 25 years experience in food and beverage.
"When Nuwara Eliya is crowded, most of the tourists come to Hatton.
Until recently, there was a severe shortage of hotels in Hatton to a
cater to these tourists.
Considering this fact, I embarked on this hotel project to cater not
only to foreign tourists, but Sri Lankans who are anxious to spend a
holiday in the hill country at an affordable price", said Managing
Director, Hill Side Inn, B. W. Harrison Silva.
Harrison further said that his aim was to promote Hatton as a
wonderful tourist destination. Hatton is blessed with a cool but
moderate climate and has a host of tourist attractions.
He further said that one hundred per cent of his staff are from
Hatton. "My aim is to give the children of estate workers a chance to
learn tourism", by employing their parents", he said.
Manager, K. Sathis Kumar works round the clock to make every tourist,
"feel at home" at Hill Side Inn.
The plus point at Hill Side Inn is that the Colombo, Badulla "Udarata
Menike", "Podi Menike" and other up-country trains run adjacent to the
hotel, giving tourists a panoramic view of the lit up trains at night.
MD, Hill Side Inn Harrison Silva has been a Hatton-Dickoya Urban
Council Member for 12 years and also the President of the Hatton
Football League.

patronised the hotel on this day highly commented the
vegetarian food at the Train-spotter Restaurant.
The Global Towers, located in the heart of Marine Drive, stands tall
with pride facing the blue ocean.
Resident Manager Mano Perera said that the hotel has new additions
such as theme nights, snacks in and outside the hotel during weekends
and Friday buffet.
Hotel's executive Chef Patrick Phillips, who has over 35 years
experience in the hospitality industry, said that he personally
supervised all the arrangements of the vegetarian buffet. He also said
that the hotel now handles outdoor catering for any function.
Executive Assistant Manager of the Hotel Tilome Nanayakkara said a
unique feature of the hotel was that the hotel rents out its
fully-furnished luxury apartments, which includes a pantry at a very
nominal fee. She said that these apartments were patronised by many
clients during the April holiday season.
The hotel has its own style to cater to the young and the young at
heart at its rooftop garden restaurant, which boasts of a breathtaking
view of the night lit Colombo City.

year with a new outlook and a variety of special
activities lined up. The Coffee Shop has been renovated with a Show
Kitchen and a Menu with the highest culinary standards.

The Grand Indian Restaurant specializing in dishes from North and
South India will have a wide selection of Buriyani dishes and a Tandoori
promotion.
This Colonial hotel has been transformed into an exciting venue which
will offer many events for the whole family during the April festive
season.
