Laugfs enters lubricant market

AGREEMENT: Laugfs Holdings signed an agreement with the Government yesterday to engage in the business of importing and selling lubricants in Sri-Lanka.

Laugfs was first to sign the agreement with the Government with the full liberalisation of the lubricant market in the country out of seven new players selected after a stringent process of evaluation.

Secretary A.P.A. Gunasekara and Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Petroleum and Petroleum Resources Kanthie Wijetunga signed the agreement on behalf of the Government and Chairman Laugfs W.K.H. Wegapitya and Managing Director Thilak de Siva signed on behalf of the company.
