Seminar on Investigations
CIVIL SECURITY: A one day seminar on ‘Investigations’ will be held at
the Learning Centre, YWCA Rotunda Gardens, Colombo 3 on April 28 from 9
a.m. to 5 p.m.
This seminar is organised by the Industrial Security Foundation (Sri

development of those engaged in civil security. This will be the fourth
of the series of seminars/worships planned for the year.
An ISF press release states that, “The quality of even simple
investigations in private organisations has continued to be poor,
thereby allowing those who commit various offences to go Scot free and
continue with their illegal activities bringing further losses to such
organizations.”
Commencement of an Investigation, Court Proceedings and Disciplinary
Inquiries, Recording of Statements from Witnesses and Suspects,
Identification, Taking Charge of, Care and Custody of Productions and
Report Writing are the topics that will be discussed by the resource
personnel, namely S.B.W. de Silva, former Director Police College,
Consultant & Trainer in Security Management, Neville Gray, (SSP)
Director In-Service Training, Police Headquarters and Ajith Rohana,
(ASP) Deputy Director, Police Higher Training.
The target group for this seminar is those who conduct investigations
and or Domestic Inquiries, Security Supervisors, HR and Admin, Lin and
