May Day rally

COLOMBO: The Sri Lanka Communist Party will celebrate May Day on April 30, The May Day procession will begin from party headquarters at Dr. N.M. Perera Mawatha, Colombo and will join the procession led by Samajawadhi Janatha Peramuna at the Borella junction.

The party expects all members from various parts of the country to attend the celebrations in Colombo.

Colombo Sarasaviya Film Festival today

COLOMBO: The Sarasaviya Film Festival begins today in Colombo with the screening of the Sinhala film Samanala Thatu, directed by Somarathne Dissanayake at the Regal cinema hall, Colombo Fort.

The award ceremony of the 31st Sarasaviya Film Festival will be held on April 5 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.
