Customs Asst. Supdt. gets four years RI
COLOMBO: An Assistant Superintendent of Customs was convicted
and sentenced to four years RI by Colombo High Court Judge Upali
Abeyratne for failure to account for accumulated assets in his
possession.
In addition a fine of Rs. 2500 was imposed and a further six months
RI added to the prison term in default. He was also ordered to pay Rs.
1.2 million to the State or serve a further 5 years RI in default.
