COPE Select Committee under consideration

KOTTE: The proposal for appointing a select committee to probe the allegations mentioned in the COPE report has been included in the agenda of the Parliament, said Speaker W.J.M. Lokubandara in Parliament yesterday.

The next steps which will be taken regarding this report will be decided by the Party Leaders meeting. Responding to a question raised by Kandy District UNP Member Lakshman Kiriella on the appointment of a Parliamentary Select Committee to probe the allegations in the COPE report.
