President meets JHU delegation

COLOMBO: President Mahinda Rajapaksa met representatives of the Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) at Temple Trees yesterday, to discuss several issues.

Detailed discussions were held with regard to the present political situation in the country, the security situation in the North and East and the ongoing rehabilitation work in the area, along with the progress of the commission's work which was appointed to look into the death of Ven. Gangodawila Soma Thera.

The discussions were held in a cordial manner and was attended by the leader of the JHU Ven. Ellawela Medhananda Thera, Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera, Ven. Omalpe Sobhitha Thera and Minister Champika Ranawaka along with Udaya Gammanpila.
