R.A.D. Sirisena appointed Senior Advisor

COLOMBO: Former Samurdhi Minister and Ex UNP MP for Kegalle District R.A.D.Sirisena has been appointed Senior Advisor to the Public Administration and Home Affairs Ministry. Sirisena now functions as the Media Spokesman for the UNP Democratic group.

He was elected a member of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council in 1988. Later he was appointed a National list MP following the demise of Minister Ranjan Wijeratne.

He was elected to Parliament at the 1994, 2000 and 2001 General Elections. He has been an active member of the UNP since 1964.
